Boiling eggs on the stove is a coin flip — overcooked yolks, shells that fuse to the white, a pot you have to watch. The Dash ends all of it. You pierce the eggs, measure water with the included cup, press one button, and walk away. Twelve minutes later you’ve got seven eggs with jammy or firm yolks exactly as ordered.
The real party trick is peeling. Steam-cooked eggs contract away from the shell, so the peel slides off in two or three big pieces instead of a hundred miserable shards. If you meal-prep eggs for the week, this alone pays for the gadget.
Two warnings. The completion buzzer is genuinely piercing — think smoke-detector energy — and the all-plastic body feels like what it is. Neither matters much once you’ve eaten your third effortless egg of the week, but you should know going in.
