What we liked
  • Cooks the egg, melts the cheese, and toasts the muffin in one 5-minute cycle
  • Removable rings are dishwasher-safe — cleanup is two pieces
  • Endless combos: bagels, croissants, Canadian bacon, whatever's in the fridge
What we didn't
  • Egg ring leaks if you overfill past the line
  • Single-serving only — one sandwich per cycle

The gimmick is real: you stack the bottom muffin, crack an egg into the ring, add cheese and the top muffin, close the lid, and five minutes later slide the cooking plate out so everything drops into a finished, hot, melty breakfast sandwich. The muffin toasts, the egg cooks through, the cheese melts — all at once, with no pan and no spatula.

What makes it stick around after the novelty wears off is the flexibility. English muffins are the default, but bagels, croissants, and biscuits all fit, and the filling is whatever’s in the fridge — Canadian bacon, a sausage patty, spinach if you’re feeling virtuous. It’s the drive-thru sandwich without leaving the house or the drive-thru markup.

Two honest limits. The egg ring has a fill line for a reason: ignore it and raw egg escapes down the side, which is a cleanup you didn’t schedule. And it’s strictly single-serving — five minutes per sandwich means feeding a family is an assembly line. For one or two people on a weekday morning, it’s close to perfect.
