What we liked
  • Most realistic sunset color of any lamp we tested — real brand color tuning
  • Magnetic 360-degree mount makes aiming effortless
  • Backed by YEELIGHT (Xiaomi ecosystem), not a no-name drop-shipper
What we didn't
  • One sunset color only — no rainbow modes or color cycling
  • Costs roughly twice what the generic sunset lamps do

YEELIGHT is a real lighting company — part of the Xiaomi ecosystem — and it shows the moment you turn this on next to a generic sunset lamp. The color is the difference: a warm amber core that bleeds into a soft orange-red edge, the way an actual sunset looks. The cheap lamps give you an orange circle; this gives you golden hour.

The magnetic mount is the other quiet win. The lamp head snaps onto its base and rotates a full 360 degrees, so aiming is a one-hand adjustment instead of a tripod wrestle. Build quality, the USB-C port, the fit and finish — everything is a tier above the no-name crowd.

What you give up is variety. There is exactly one color: sunset. No rainbow mode, no ocean blue, no app light show. And you’ll pay about double what the generics cost for that restraint. If the sunset is the whole point — for photos, for a reading corner, for a room that winds down properly — this is the lamp to beat. If you want a disco, look elsewhere.
