Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator
A little metal box that gives gain-hungry dynamic mics +25dB of clean boost. The difference between cranking your interface into hiss territory and a signal that just sounds right.

There’s a reason the C920x shows up in roughly every streaming setup photo taken since 2012: it works, every time, on every OS, in every app. Plug it in and OBS sees it, Zoom sees it, Discord sees it — no driver archaeology, no firmware drama. In decent lighting the 1080p image is sharp and color-accurate enough that viewers won’t think about your camera at all, which is the highest compliment a webcam can get.
The dual mics are better than they have any right to be on a $60 camera — perfectly fine for work calls and acceptable in a pinch for streaming. The autofocus locks on and stays locked, the monitor clip fits everything from thin laptop lids to chunky displays, and there’s a proper tripod thread underneath when you graduate to a boom arm.
Now the honest part: this is an old sensor in an old body. Drop the lights and the image goes soft and grainy in a hurry, and no amount of Logitech G HUB slider-fiddling fixes physics. There’s also no 60fps mode, no 4K, and no privacy shutter. If your streaming space is bright and you just want a camera that never becomes a problem, this is still the default answer. If you game in a mood-lit cave, budget for a key light first — or a newer camera.
